In our clinic we see all kinds of conditions mostly related to pain. Troy is a Chiropractor and an all around natural health care practitioner. It is true that a lot of what we treat is related to some type of stress on the body, however we have also come across afflictions that we discerned as having spiritual roots. Coming up with a treatment plan can be challenging to maneuver when the root of a persons affliction needs to be handled with spiritual tools rather then natural tools. Over a decade ago we had a woman come to our clinic with a very young child that was diagnosed as autistic. The young boy had many problems. Speech problems as well as behavioral issues. The mother began to share with us that when her child was an infant she once witnessed a dark entity standing over his crib!

This particular patient was what introduced Troy and I into deliverance ministry. We began searching for answers. I believed her, and I had learned to trust my discernment over time. I will share more hopefully on some of these cases we have come across during the past decade we have had the privilege of helping with.

I have watched Troy help numerous patients over the years. He is down to earth and his patients are very comfortable with him. However we understand at times when a patient would not respond to physical care at all. In fact at times they seemed to get worse. In a secular setting you need to be very careful about crossing lines so we would openly pray for patients that were comfortable with prayer. Many of these patients were not Christians and we could only do so much, however there are some that the Lord would press on us to pray for directly. We would always pray for our patients, just not directly unless the Lord told us to.

A case of spiritual roots causing physical pain

Recently we had a patient come in who had extreme lower back pain. Her pain made it difficult for her to walk and she was distressed. I will call her Maria for privacy purposes this is not her real name. Troy had been with her in his office and he stepped out and asked me to come in to pray for her with him. Maria had been a long time wellness client of the clinic. She had been coming to see Troy for a number of years for vitamins and chiropractic adjustments. Since the onset of Corona many of our patients had succumbed to fear, she was definitely one of them. I was very happy to pray for her and I quickly asked him if she wanted us to? As I walked in his office Maria was sitting on his adjusting table with her head down, she seemed so downcast. She was so quiet and serious with her head bowed. Troy asked me to pray silently and see how the Lord would like us to pray. We both received we were to pray for healing but with our eye contact we both understood that it was likely a spiritual root. Maria was wearing a mask, she had been wearing this mask through the whole “pandemic” and beyond.

We began praying for her and then we started to bind up spirits that were bringing this pain on her. As we were doing this she spoke out “you know I’m Catholic?” She wasn’t put off but she wanted us to know that Catholics don’t pray this way. We acknowledged that and continued on. We then asked her to get up and walk to see how much her pain and decreased. She raised up and and she started pacing our room back and forth. As she was pacing Troy started binding up anger in her, when he did she said in a loud voice “that’s it!” She quickly said anger was a root from her child hood. She was amazed at how we were praying for her. I watched a transformation in her spirit at that moment as she was realizing that her problem was spiritual in nature. In fact, it made complete sense to her. She kept pacing and took her mask off. This was just the beginning of a new deliverance. The Lord once again reminded me that “your ministry is right in front of you”. He had spoken that to me sometime back.

When pain comes back

Maria left our office a different woman. She was about 90% better and that alone was a miracle however Maria would come back after a few days. The pain she had been in had been had left and she had been pain free, however with in days it started to return. Now Maria is a very strong smart woman and she was determined to get free. So we prayed again and this time we began to teach her about how demons can bring physical infirmities. We explained that when we begin to confront them they will get stirred up. The evil spirit that is causing the physical affliction will resist and intensify physical attacks when a person begins to resist it through prayer. The person will experience intensifying of pain. Bringing truth to a hurting soul is the beginning of freedom! Once again she reminded us that Catholics don’t pray this way usually and she couldn’t understand why.

Jesus is the solution

Bringing the truth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior will bring liberation! The devil has to flee when he is resisted. How do we resist? With all our might and through the power of Jesus Christ who works in us. Watching people get beat up by the devil is a hard thing to do. The Lord desires for His people to walk in power and authority
